A center for technology innovation designed to foster technology development transfer from the laboratory to the market place, The University of Arizona Science and Technology Park (UA Tech Park) is a unique master planned community designed following LEED and green principles. It is the 6th largest university-related research park in the United States in terms of occupancy and jobs. Over 7,000 employees currently work onsite. The Tech Park provides a world-class environment that supports the transfer of scientific knowledge to emerging rapid-growth, technology-based clean industries in a sustainable setting that incorporates industrial eco-park, research and development, destination hotel and executive conference center, retail, office, and residential uses set in an integrated system of open spaces and trails. The site is the home of the University of Arizona South Campus.
