UA BioPark – Pathway to Discovery / Kino Parkway Streetscape
The new UA BioPark implements sustainable practices that provide a smart and green park designed especially for companies working in biosciences, biotechnology, life sciences, and pharmaceuticals. The Pathway to Discovery is a planned amenity that will connect the BioPark with neighboring communities as well as provide the backbone of internal park circulation. Specific elements of this project include incorporation of artwork, planning for future building and pad connections and providing public gathering spaces integral to the pathway. The construction of the first phase of this project presented significant challenges such as extremely hard dig conditions and potential contaminants remaining in the soil from the former use of this site as an airstrip.
