Kino Sports Complex Master Plan

The Planning Center collaborated with Pima County, Kino Stadium District, and various stakeholders to program and develop a Sports/Entertainment/Hospitality/Retail master plan for newly acquired Pima County property, known as the “Kino South Sports Complex.” The Kino South Master Plan is intended to coalesce a cohesive and comprehensive vision for Tucson’s growth as a leading amateur sports destination in the western United States. The plan provides necessary amenities to accommodate competitive amateur sports tournaments, local professional soccer (FC Tucson) matches, and professional MLS spring training, including: 10,000 seat stadium, 50,000 sf indoor sports center, 5,000 seat amphitheater, 1 community center (tournament admin and locker rooms), event lawns and promenade, 15 natural turf competition sports fields, 5 artificial turf community sports fields, 1 community park and splash pad, 140,000 sf retail, and 500 rooms of hospitality.
